Minnesota State Statutes

The Tribal Nations Education Committee advocates for improved educational outcomes for American Indian students in the state of Minnesota. American Indian students continue be the lowest performing student group in the state, and until Native youth are performing at or above the level of their peers, the committee will continue to champion for their cultural and academic needs in every classroom.

The following statutes are some of the many important legislative measures put in place to close gaps and improve the American Indian student experience within school communities.
