2025 Committee Schedule
Welcome! Below you will find the upcoming dates, times, and locations for all scheduled committee meetings. These meetings focus on important and timely topics and help to shape the future of American Indian education in Minnesota.
We invite you to stay informed and join us! Whether you are a community member, parent, student, or educator, your presence and voice are vital to our work and we look forward to your participation in these important discussions.
Closed + Open Meetings
Committee meetings are held virtually from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Closed monthly meetings are for committee members and invited guests, while public "open" meetings are accessible to everyone using the "Join Open Meetings" button.
Quarterly Meetings
Quarterly meetings are closed to the public and align to the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council (MIAC) meeting schedule.
Quarterly Consultation
The Commissioner of Education for the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) is required to consult with the Tribal Nations Education Committee on all education matters affecting American Indian students in the state.
These official consultations are held during the committee's quarterly meetings, and are closed to the public.

Public Agenda Requests
The Tribal Nations Education Committee welcomes guest presentations and discussions at its monthly public meeting. To be considered for an upcoming agenda:

Download the Agenda Request and Presenter Guidelines packet.

Review the submission requirements.

Complete the agenda request form found within the packet and submit as directed.

Requests must be submitted a minimum of three weeks prior to the meeting.

Submitting a request does not guarantee a spot on the agenda.

Materials for discussion must be submitted two weeks prior to your scheduled meeting.
