Committee Meeting Schedule
Welcome! Below you will find the upcoming dates, times, and locations for all scheduled committee meetings. These meetings focus on important and timely topics and help to shape the future of American Indian education in Minnesota.
Whether you are a community member, parent, student, or educator, your presence and voice are vital to our work and we look forward to your participation in these important discussions.
Closed & Open Meetings
Closed committee meetings are reserved for committee business and are for members and invited guests only.
Open committee meetings are public and we invite you to join us using the Zoom link provided within the meeting schedule.
If you would like to present or discuss specific information, or formally consult with the committee, you must submit a public meeting agenda request form.
Quarterly Meetings
Quarterly meetings are closed to the public and align to the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council (MIAC) meeting schedule.
Quarterly Consultations
The Commissioner of Education for the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) is required to consult with the Tribal Nations Education Committee on all educational matters affecting American Indian students in the state.
These official consultations are held during the committee's quarterly meetings, and are closed to the public.

The Tribal Nations Education Committee welcomes guest presentations and discussions at its monthly public meeting. To be considered for an upcoming agenda:

Review the submission requirements.

Complete the agenda request form found within the packet and submit as directed.
Additional Information:

Requests must be submitted a minimum of three weeks prior to the meeting.

Submitting a request does not guarantee a spot on the agenda.

Materials for discussion must be submitted two weeks prior to your scheduled meeting.
