Closed + Open Meetings
The Tribal Nations Education Committee holds one monthly closed meeting. Closed meetings are reserved for committee members and discretionary guests. Public or "open" meetings are held virtually throughout the year and are accessible using the Join Open Meetings button below. Open meetings are held from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and all are welcome
Quarterly Meetings
Quarterly meetings take place at designated Tribal host locations. These meetings generally align to the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council (MIAC) meeting schedule and are closed to the public.
Quarterly Consultation
The Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) is required to consult with the Tribal Nations Education Committee on all education matters affecting American Indian students in the state. These official consultations, held during the committee's quarterly meetings, are closed to the public.

Meeting Requests
Individuals and organizations interested in meeting with the Tribal Nations Education Committee must submit a formal request for consideration using the Agenda Request form below. Requests must be submitted a minimum of two weeks in advance, but more advanced notice will help the committee to honor your preferred meeting date.

If your request to meet is approved, you will be required to submit slide decks, reports, and other pertinent information two weeks before your scheduled meeting date.
